American Fidelity will be on-site, to help

With the changes to this year’s health-benefit offerings, it’ll be more important than ever to do a bit of planning around premiums and health costs. But help with this planning will be available right at your school or work site from American Fidelity, the company that administers the Fresno Unified School District’s “125 Plan.”

The 125 Plan allows plan participants to fund their health expenses and premiums with pre-tax dollars, which in turn can reduce participants’ tax liability. Or, put simply: Using your 125 Plan to set aside dollars for medical expenses can help to save you money.

Using your 125 requires a bit of sound planning, however. That’s why American Fidelity representatives will be at FUSD schools and work sites during Benefits Open Enrollment, to assist plan participants in making the best choice for funding their health-plan contributions. The JHMB encourages all plan participants to take advantage of this opportunity by signing up for a brief appointment with an American Fidelity representative.

The American Fidelity site visit schedule is now available. Take a look, and sign up for a time on the sign-in sheets that will be available at each location. A little advanced planning can save you money.
