Acupuncture is integrative medicine that promotes natural healing. It is considered evidence-based and it is a non-invasive medical regimen that is a nationally recognized standard of practice. Acupuncture was developed in China over 5000 years ago and is one of the oldest continuously practiced forms of medicine. It is used to bring the body to a better state of health by the insertion of very fine, single-use, disposable, sterile filiform needles into specific acupuncture points on the body. It is cost-effective and has no side effects.
Acupuncture is a safe, painless, effective modality used to treat a wide variety of medical conditions, including:
- Menstrual irregularities
- Digestive disorders
- Muscular and joint pain
- Stress/anxiety/depression
Acupuncture is effective to reduce acute and chronic pain, improve circulation, reduce inflammation and reduce swelling. Acupuncture also helps to increase range of motion, decrease side effects of medication-induced nausea, promote relaxation, speed up the healing process, reduce muscle spasms, boost immunity and improve one’s overall sense of well-being.
