If you are a retiree of the Fresno Unified School District, you are entitled to various health care benefits provided by the Joint Health Management Board along with the District. Included among these benefits is access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provided through Claremont.
What is Claremont?
Claremont powered by Uprise Health, is a digitally enhanced EAP platform for mental health wellbeing that features a unique app with various resources, including dedicated well-being coaches.
Retirees can learn top, proven skills for resilience via the app or get coaching from a professional on stressors like financial worries, family, personal beliefs, or work issues. Participants can also elect to do therapy sessions instead of coaching and skill training by selecting “Arrange a Therapy Session.” Additional services include:
- Confidential Counseling: Retirees have up to 5 counseling visits per incident/per year available through EAP
- If a Retiree is pre 65, they must continue counseling through a Simple Behavioral provider.
- If a Retiree is Medicare-eligible and on the Aetna MAPPO plan, they need to go through an in-network provider under that plan after the 5 free EAP visits.
- 24-Hour Crisis Help: Toll-free access for you or a family member when experiencing a crisis.
- Financial Support: Unlimited access to a financial expert who will work with you to attain financial stability by identifying financial goals, assessing your current financial situation, and providing a detailed action plan.
- Legal Services: One 30-minute legal consultation for each separate personal legal matter at no cost, and a 25% reduction from the normal hourly rate if you retain an attorney or mediator. Legal services cannot be used for employer-related issues.
- Child & Parenting Services: Get resources and support on parenting, school issues, adoption, daycare, and more.
- Adult & Elder Care Services: Get assistance finding quality services including transportation, meals, activities, daytime care, housing, and more.
- Online Work-Life Resource Portal: Access resources on-demand that cover a wide variety of work-life issues from stress and personal growth to recent events and recipes.
Benefits recipients under 65 must continue to receive counseling through a SimpleTherapy provider. Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug benefit recipients will need to go through an in-network provider under their plan after they have used all five of their free EAP counseling sessions.
