Virtual SimpleTherapy Program Ending October 1, 2026

Important Update for PPO Plan A & B Members

The Joint Health Management Board is notifying members enrolled in PPO Plan A or PPO Plan B that support for the virtual physical therapy program through SimpleTherapy will end effective October 1, 2026.

If you currently use virtual SimpleTherapy, or were considering using the program, please review the information below to understand how this change may affect your benefits.

What’s Changing?

Beginning October 1, 2026,  the virtual SimpleTherapy program will no longer be supported under the benefits of PPO Plans A and B. This means:

  • The virtual SimpleTherapy program is being discontinued as a supported benefit.
  • Services provided on or after October 1, 2026, will not be available.
  • Members currently participating in the program should plan to complete any covered services before the termination date, if applicable.

What Isn’t Changing?

This change applies only to the SimpleTherapy virtual physical therapy program.

Your Chiropractic and Acupuncture benefits are not affected and will continue to be available according to your health plan benefits.

Become a WellPATH Champion

I agree to represent my school/department as the Wellness Champion for this school year. I understand the outlined roles and responsibilities of the Wellness Champion and will assist in the implementation and coordination of wellness initiatives. I agree to not only support the WellPATH Employee Wellness program by my participation, but to collaborate with my local management team to support the initiatives as well. I understand that the success of the program hinges on all employees being empowered to make informed decisions that positively impact their health. The WellPATH program can count on me to be a messenger and motivator and to help gather information from my co-workers, principals and managers to help foster a culture of wellness within Fresno Unified School District that supports good health.

I also understand that I may be asked to assist in scheduling rooms and programs (including wellness screenings, seasonal influenza program) at my location, displaying WellPATH brochures, posters, etc. in appropriate areas, and encouraging my co-workers to be involved in the WellPATH Employee Wellness program.
